Classes had just ended, and Max could not be any happier. Inside she was dancing and twirling. But as she started remembering her day going from class to class, she kept on seeing this familiar face. A face she knew, or thought she knew. There could be no way he was here. He never said goodbye. Nothing.. She thought while walking out of the building. She didn't want to be in class today though, Max just wanted to stay in bed and watch the world go by, or just break into some building. Then again, she really didn't want to be here. She wanted to be back at home. Tired of moving, and tired of switching places to leave each time.
Sighing, she walked towards a set of picnic and took out her sketch pad. Something she hasn't done in quite some time. She loved to draw and dance, but those were on rare occasions when it came to dancing. Max started flipping through the pages of her sketches. Some done while she was going to school, others were just random drawings she had done. Some that brought a smile on her face, remembering the good times. Others just reminded Max of her past homes, and never really finding a place to really call her home until the Linbeck's took her in.
Max started then went to a blank page and took out a pencil she normally keeps in with her sketch pad. She didn't know or have anything planned out to draw. Whatever came to her mind, she'll draw it out. Travis, was on her mind though. So she decided to draw just his face in black and white, and even some shading on his features. Her memories started to go back to when they first met. Of how she thought she was going to die that night from one last final blow. But instead, it stopped. He saved her life, and she kept on trying to repay him but Travis kept telling her there was no need too.
She glanced up and took a look around the area. Out in the near distance, a tall masculine figure caught her eye. Max could not believe of what she was seeing either. It had to be him she kept on seeing while in the halls between class period changes. Travis? She thought while looking at him. There was no way that could be him, he left her without even saying goodbye. What would he be doing at a place like this? If that's him, I'm surprised he hasn't ran yet. I'm surprised I haven't ran off yet either." Max thought once more, still her eyes haven't left his site. Deep inside, she was hoping it to be Travis, and then maybe the place might not be so bad after all... Right?
