Hunter reached over smacking at the alarm that was going off on his nightstand. Five more minutes, he thought, hitting the snooze button, happy when the noise stopped. Ugh. It was far too early to be getting up, he thought keeping his eyes closed. Before he knew it, the alarm was going off again, and he repeated the process of hitting snooze. Needless to say, Hunter was not a morning person. But since meeting Rebekah he had agreed to go running with her. And she liked to go in the mornings before class. Something Hunter would never understand he did not think, but he did not have the heart to tell her no. And, he felt better knowing she was not running in the woods early in the morning alone. Finally, after his alarm went off for a third time, Hunter knew he had to get out of bed, or he was going to be late. Groaning, he shoved his covers back, wishing he could crawl back under them as the cooler room air hit his body. Getting to his feet, he ran his fingers through his hair as he yawned, before standing up and grabbing his clothes. Hunter walked slowly toward the bathroom, setting the clothes down, he splashed some water on his face, trying to wake up. Then did his business, dressing, brushing his teeth and hair, not bothering to shower because he was just going to get sweaty, anyway. He checked his desk, making sure his stuff was in his backpack and ready to go, before heading out the door. It was always easier to have that ready to go, so when he came back to shower before class all he had to do was grab it. He was not a straight A student, but he'd been trying, and doing better, thanks to Rebekah's help. She didn't make a big deal about his dyslexia, didn't make him feel stupid. As he made his way down the stairs (as he's a junior, and on the third floor) he yawned. Hunter pushed open the door and stepped outside. The sun was rising a little, but not yet fully risen, and looked like it was going to be a cloudy day. Hunter hoped it did not rain on them, as the cooler air hit him making him thankful he had worn a sweatshirt. He would probably take it off and tie it around his waist while he ran. The cooler air helped to wake him up a little, as he walked toward the edge of the woods where he was going to meet her. It was somewhat foggy out yet. He didn't see her so he stood waiting. Hunter ran his hands over his face, leaning against a tree, closing his eyes, and stifled another yawn. He wanted some coffee. He and Rebekah would probably get something to eat after, it was their usual routine. He hoped it wouldn't be on campus. The food sucked. He heard footsteps, and looked over, seeing her approaching. ”Hey Beks,” he said giving her a weary smile, his voice heavy, as he pushed off the tree, ”You ready?”Timeline: September 12th, 6:00 AMoutfit

She had woken up with a gasp, covered in a cold sweat at about three in the morning. After trying to go to sleep, Rebekah realized that it would be a lost cause and settled for taking a shower, instead. She tied her hair back and got as little of it wet as possible, but washed her body off. She felt nasty and sticky from the sweat, and that needed to be taken care of, even if she would be going running with Hunter in a couple hours. Much to her own surprise, Rebekah had started to grow rather fond of Hunter. He was easy to talk to, and she liked listening to what he had to say whenever he did speak. He had a few issues with reading, but that did not matter. It did not change her opinion of him any. As she twisted her hair up into a messy bun after her shower, Rebekah let her gaze fall to the window and she slowly made her way over to it. She could see the trees in the near-distance and worried at her lower lip. Rebekah had this nagging feeling that something was wrong, that something was coming... something big. It had her a little scared, but she was trying not to think on it. After all, what could she do to stop it, there? She had no arrows to protect herself with that time. Deciding that she needed out of there before she went crazy, Rebekah got dressed and made her way into town so she could stop at one of the all-night gas stations in order to pick up some coffee. She would grab a couple water bottles before heading out to meet Hunter when and where they usually did on the days in which they went running. She lingered around the shop to drink her coffee and eat some poptarts, watching warily out the windows toward the woods. Maybe they should get a new running path. No, that would not be a good idea. She could not keep a watch on things if she changed the path. The one she had chosen was the best one through the woods to see the weak points, where someone or something could easily make a home.
Soon enough, Rebekah made her way to their meeting spot and she smiled once she saw Hunter already there. "Morning, sleepyhead," she stated with another smile before offering him one of the two bottles of water. "Want one?" Early mornings like that were the only times that Rebekah did not put on any makeup, though she felt odd without it. It made no sense to put any on, however, as she would simply sweat it all off if she did. "Mmhmm. If you think you can keep up." She smirked a little at him in response, reaching her hand into the pocket of her hoodie to make sure her keys and wallet were still there. "Breakfast after? I think it's my turn to pay, isn't it?" She could not remember whose turn it fell on to foot the bill, but Rebekah would not complain either way. As long as they got to eat something with more sustenance than some poptarts after their run, she would be a happy camper. Rebekah loved breakfast foods the most, something she had discovered years before; especially waffles and pancakes. One could never go wrong with either of those. "C'mon, let's go." She flashed him another smile before turning to take off down the path, slowing enough for him to catch up so that they could set a pace together. Rebekah found it much more enjoyable to run with someone else. There was usually a step pattern that both people fell in to without even meaning to, and it helped to push to do better, to go father, to be faster. It was great. Plus, it was always just a bit lonely to just go running by yourself. Rebekah was honestly glad that Hunter enjoyed running as well. It gave them one more thing to do together. It was Rebekah's way of de-stressing, and like she usually did after a bad dream, shes started to feel better the longer she ran.
