How far will I fall 'til the alarm sounds How come you love me when I am ugly Guess I can only hope Give me a second go Don't let me go alone You saw me at the worst You caught me falling first All I wanted to know Give me a second go No matter the weather there's never a break Conquer a ladder then slip on a snake Cried 'til my river turned into a lake And I'm wondering now before it's too late How can you save me when I am angry - - - - - - - - -
reasons i'll never know
she'd needed to get out of that space. to be totally honest, gabe could have done without the whole school setting in the first place. sure, she wanted to make something of her life and without schooling she knew she would be nothing, but it was just so boring to her. more times than not, she already knew what was going on in the class, though she didn't apply herself enough to make that obvious. no, she'd rather float by with her c average grades and keep it at that. no extra struggle, no wasting time that she could be doing something better with, and definitely not making herself come across as a know it all. she wanted to blend in her as much as she could, considering the whole school was full of nut jobs. gabe had decided about two classes in to her day that she wasn't in the mood to sit around and listen to someone talk at her for any longer. she'd ducked out before her third class even began. at first she'd forced herself to just stay in her dorm and fake sick, but there was only so long that she could sit on her bed doing homework quietly and listening to music. so instead of playing the sick card, she took her chances of getting caught and slid out of her room early.
of course, she'd known for at least the past twenty four hours that she wasn't going to make it to her last couple of classes, simply because she didn't want to face people for that long. she'd slid a note in her friend's book at random, hoping that it would fall out when it opened it up in class. it was a chance that she was taking that could get them both caught, but it was a chance that she was more than willing to take. she sighed as she tapped her fingertips over the top of the green velvet of the pool table under her, only opening her eyes once in a while when she felt truly paranoid about someone walking in on her. where in the hell is he? if that boy is this slow all the time... she grumbled mentally, nodding her head to the beat of the music that blasted through her head phones. anyone that walked in on her was bound to be surprised by what they saw. "how long can it take one boy to walk from point a to point b?" she asked out loud to the empty room around her, though she couldn't even hear her own words over the music.
