Reaching up, he ran a hand through his hair, spiking it up a little bit and causing it to stand up. Taking a bottle of hairspray, he sprayed his hair to make it stay in that position, and then turned his head slightly to either direction to check how his hair worked from every angle. Finally satisfied with the end product, he left the bottle by the sink, headed out of the smallish bathroom and kicked Sebastien's bed as he walked by. "I'm going to the bonfire. Catch you later if you decide to brave it," he challenged playfully before heading out of the room, grabbing his jacket on the way out. Though before he headed to the beach, there was one stop he had to make first.
Room 301. Raising his hand, Sam knocked on the door, backed up and waited for the door to be answered. He tilted his head slightly as it creaked open and he smiled slightly at the other male. "Hey... I'm going to the bonfire... wanna be my date?" he asked, watching the dark-haired male. He had gotten fairly close to Tyler over the last month since their initial hook-up at the party at the quarry. Sam found he quite liked Tyler's company, and though he wasn't exactly the talkative type, Sam found that he quite liked whatever the other male said, they agreed on a lot of things. Of course, Sam had thought more than once that Tyler was going to be freaked out because Sam had been hanging around.
Sam often wondered if Tyler was only nice to him because he felt it was polite or something, though Tyler secretly wanted him to fuck off. After all, one-night stands were generally only one-night stands because it was a one-time thing. And just because Sam liked the other on a personal level and wanted to be more than just a one-night stand, or even just a regular fuck-buddy that he only talked to when he wanted sex, it didn't mean that Tyler wanted the same thing. So he'd taken the other's acceptance that they could be friends to heart. Though Sam had learned that pillow talk had little standing, and Tyler might not have thought Sam would follow through on the 'being friends' thing, Sam had simply decided that if Tyler wanted him to fuck off then he could say something.
As it stood, Sam was going to give this 'date' thing a shot with Tyler. After all, getting him a drink on their first night hardly qualified as a date. He offered a smile to the junior. "Come on, I'll even buy you dinner if you want. It can be a legit thing, and I promise, I won't try and get you into bed unless you start it." He raised a hand to make an 'x' sign over his chest. "Cross my heart," he stated teasingly, smiling at the other. "I think it will be fun... but if not, we can always leave if it turns out to be a drag and make our own party." He stuck out his lower lip slightly. "Pwease won't you come wif me?" [/style][/style] lyrics of love isn't always fair by black veil brides. table by (( aurora !! of Caution 2.0.

i'm just trying to breathe, just trying to figure it out Because I built these walls to watch them crumbling down. I said, "Then I lost it all." And who can save me now? I stood above Another war, Another jewel upon the crown. I was the fear of man, But I was blind. I couldn't see the world there right in front of me. But now I can, 'Cause I lost it all. Dead and broken, My back's against the wall. Cut me open. I'm just trying to breathe, Just trying to figure it out. Because I built these walls to watch them crumbling down. I said, "Then I lost it all." And who can save me now? Despite liking both of them decently enough, Tyler really just wanted and needed a little time to himself. He was practically jumping out of his skin from everything that had been going on. Sitting on his bed, Tyler toyed with the string bracelet that never left his wrist, thumb continually brushing over the frayed ends of the loose threads past the knots that kept the twists together. School was becoming even more unbearable, and Tyler was finding himself faking a smile more and more often. It was getting really difficult to continue with the facade that everything was just fine. He was doing everything he could to not alarm one of his teachers or his counselor to his true thoughts. None of them need know he was counting down, that he was going to do things better. He already had it planned out. He knew how, where, when. It was just a matter of waiting. Tyler was unsure he would be able to wait, though. Bouncing his knees absentmindedly as he sat on the edge of his bed, he let his eyes land on the drawer in his desk that was the temporary home for everything he would need, including the letter he had written to his brother. He thought about possibly writing one to Sam, too; but, he had yet to come to a concrete decision there. He jumped out of his thoughts when there was a knock on the door, and he let out a shaky breath before going to answer it, pausing for a moment when he found Sam there, asking him to go to the bonfire. Tyler's brow furrowed a little as he flicked his hair out of his line of sight and said, "Wait, what?"
He listened quietly when Sam went on to suggest dinner and how it would be fun. Tyler honestly did not know if he had it in him to fake it through something big like that. He barely managed to get through his classes anymore. Tyler worried for a moment that he might have tipped off one of his teachers, but then he had found out that the worried look that had been in his direction was actually at the person that had been behind him. Lucky break. "You're asking me out on a date? Why?" Tyler asked after Sam had finished talking, pulling a childish voice that had made his lips twitch upward slightly in amusement. He was honestly not sure what was going on. Was this some kind of a joke? Yes, they had slept together, and it had been great; but, that was it. Right? It was just two friends having sex; that didn't mean anything. Tyler was especially not sure if it meant much of anything considering what he heard about Sam's reasoning for being there. Sam being a sex addict made it that much more likely that Tyler was just one of many who were convenient. "I... wasn't really planning on going." Tyler was really, really unsure if he even wanted to go; but, he guessed that if Sam really wanted to go, for whatever reason, he would go with him. "But, uh... I mean... I guess we could." Tyler had not gone anywhere with someone in a way that was not platonic since he came to St. Helena's. He did not form those kinds of attachments. That just made things more difficult. So, why was he agreeing? Maybe it would keep more staff off his back if he was seeing someone. That was not really the sign of someone who was ready to give up.

"You heard me: I want you to come to the bonfire with me." Sam was nothing if not straight-forward. He wasn't the type to beat around the bush or play the modesty card. He liked Tyler and wasn't about to pretend otherwise. He wanted to make sure that Tyler was well aware of his attraction, and for something beyond just how amazing the other male was in bed. He wasn't sure why Tyler didn't see what he did. Tyler was fucking gorgeous. How could he not know that? How was he already not swept off his feet by someone else? He wasn't entirely sure. Were people put off because he kept to himself? Well not this guy.
He smirked as the other asked him why he was asking him out on a date. He rolled his eyes slightly. "Because I want to go on a date with you?" he asked, arching a brow slightly. "That way, I can't really be considered some creepy stalker from a one-night stand. If we were actually dating then it would just be expected that I like to follow you around," he stated with a grin, watching the other male. "I like spending time with you. I like you. And when I see something I like, I go for it. Come on, Tyler, please? I promise, if you don't have fun, or if you decide you don't like me, then I'll back off. But so long as I think you might be interested, I'm gonna persue." He arched an eyebrow with interest, as if silently challenging the other.
When Tyler stated he hadn't planned on going, Sam frowned. "Why not? Come on, it'll be fun. Fire. Beach. Stars. Could even be romantic," he added playfully, leaning in to nudge the other male lightly. And then the other was agreeing. Sam grinned broadly. "Yay!" he exclaimed, wrapping an arm around Tyler's waist. "You ready to go now or do you want me to wait for you to get ready? Do you want to get food first or go right to the bonfire?" he asked in quick succession, half-afraid that the other would change his mind about going if he left him much opportunity to think about it. He leaned in, pressing a kiss against the other's cheek gently. "We're gonna have a good time," he promised.
He was bound and determined to get the other male used to the idea that he was gonna be around. While they had already agreed on a friendship, he was much more inclined to want something more from the other male. Not just sex whenever he wanted it (though that was always a bonus to relationships), he rather liked having actual relationships. His last boyfriend had meant the world to him, and he sorely missed having that physical connection with someone. He was very much a physical person - he liked holding hands and cuddling with people. He only hoped Tyler would be open to the idea of it, but this was definitely a good start.
