september 4th, 2013 - 06:00pmi wish i had some way to say You're going through so much. Don't you know that I could be the one to hold you? I'm stretching but you're just out of reach. You should know, I'm ready when you're ready for me. And I'm waiting for the right time, For the day I catch your eye, To let you know That I'm yours to hold. I'm stretching but you're just out of reach, I'm ready when you're ready for me. [/style][style= width: 402px; height: 200px; background: url(http://i49.tinypic.com/etfsc8.jpg);] [/style][style= width:402px; height: 390px; background-color: #ffffff;] [style=width: 300px; font-family: arial narrow; font-size:10px; line-height:91%; text-align:justify; overflow: auto; margin-bottom: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; height: 320px; padding-top: 5px; margin-right: 5px;margin-top: 10px; color: #000000; background-color: #fff;] "Do you have to keep the hood up?" questioned Laura with a slight huff as they got to the apartment building, looking over to A.J., who was tugging on the front of the shirt he wore under one of his favorite hoodies that she okayed him to wear that day since it actually fit unlike most of his clothing.
Ashley narrowed his eyes over at her and grumbled a bit again as he said, "Yes. Gimme some caffeine and I'll remove it. S'too bright."
The elder of the two laughed softly with a shake of her head, reaching up under the hood to muss up A.J.'s hair. "Always were a little vampire. Caffeine headache?" A.J. nodded as the two of them started up to the apartment, taking the bags they had gotten up with them. The majority of the five bags was Laura's, while very few items were ones that A.J. was going to take home. Despite his extreme dislike of the jeans and shirt he was wearing, A.J. had fun shopping with Laura. He liked being able to help her pick out clothes. He just wished that she would have left it to just shopping for her. Somehow, she had him wrangled into buying clothes that fit more snugly, including skinny jeans. He felt so uncomfortable and disliked the way the nearly too-small top clung to him, which was evident in the way he kept tugging at it every few minutes. He was used to wearing clothes that were just slightly too big and in layers. He hid beneath his clothing the same way he hid behind sarcasm and a smile. Laura seemed to be the only one interested in getting him to wear something else, and for the life of him, A.J. could not figure out why. "One of these days," Laura announced as she unlocked the front door to the apartment before letting A.J. in first, "I'm going to get you to wear eyeliner."
A.J. practically tripped into the apartment and did a little flail that caused his hood to fall back. "Uh, no. Nuh-uh. Never," he replied as he headed to the kitchen to grab some soda out of the fridge as Laura instructed. "I don't do the whole... No. Just no." He groaned as he was suddenly attacked by Laura, who was tugging on the hoodie to get him to take it off. "Alright, alright; watch the glasses. Rude." He set the soda down so that he could take off and Laura moved to drape it over one of the chairs in the living room as she shouted, "Chris, if you're here, get your ass out here! We're ordering pizza, and have some movies." She went over to drop the small bag of movie rentals on the couch next to her dog while A.J. downed nearly half of the soda rather quickly, sighing in relief at the way his building headache faded. It was a miracle how just the smallest doses of caffeine would help a headache caused by not having enough in your system. It was something A.J. had come to know quite well. He leaned back against the counter as he tugged on the shirt again, attempting to get it to sit better; but, no amount of tugging would get it to stop being clingy. He didn't like it. "Stoppit, Little Red. You look great," Laura insisted as she turned on the television, flashing a smile in his direction before looking over toward Chris' bedroom when she heard movement from there. "There you are! Red's chilling with us tonight. What do you want on pizza?"
She and A.J. had already discussed their options, so she really just needed Chris' input so that she could order something that he would eat too. A.J. absentmindedly toyed with the tab on the soda can in his hands, watching the dog as it tried to hide from the noises underneath one of the throw pillows, mostly at a hopefully none to obvious attempt at not staring at Chris as he would do quite often if he let himself. "Can I have my hoodie back now?" A.J. asked after a moment, practically whining. He felt so weird without wearing at least two shirts (typically three between the over shirt, t-shirt, and under shirt), and jeans that were pretty baggy.
"Not unless you're cold; and, don't even try it," Laura said, pointing a well-manicured finger at A.J. "It's warm as hell in this apartment." She smirked as A.J. pouted. "Red's having issues dealing with clothes that fit him instead of the baggy layers he usually wears." She explained the situation to Chris, who probably had no idea what was going on. Laura could not remember if she had told him that he was taking Ashley shopping after work.

Chris kind of did not know what to do with himself. He wasn't working tonight, he'd gotten everything he'd wanted to done earlier in the day. Played some video games. So, after awhile he went to lay on his bed, reading one of his many sports magazines. He knew Laura was taking A.J. shopping after she got done with work. Something about him needing clothes that fit, or whatever. Truthfully, Chris had not been listening very well. He was just glad he was not the one getting dragged from store to store, and ordered to try on clothing. It made him cringe at the thought. His time was probably coming, soon. Figuring Laura would insist on updating his wardrobe for winter. Maybe she would forget, one could hope, right? He didn't see what the big deal was. He wore pants, shoes, occasionally a shirt. It covered him, doing what it was supposed to do to keep him acceptable to society. That should be what mattered. Not what color looked good with his skin tone, or what was the new trend. After a bit, he had gotten through a good chunk of the magazine and was bored. Tossing it on to the bed, he got up and rolled his shoulders, stretching some. Sitting still for long periods of time was not something he was good at. He did not have ADD or ADHD, he just felt the need to be physically active a lot. It calmed him, and helped him focus. Getting down on the floor he did a few push ups. At first, he started with two hands, but then switched to one hand. Hearing the door open, he paused mid push up, and looked to the side, listening. The sounds of Laura's voice, and then A.J. being head through the walls of the apartment. He heard Laura call him, and resumed the push ups, quickly finishing his set. Chris then got to his feet, a light layer of sweat on his exposed chest. Walking out of his room, he made his way to the living room, glancing at Laura and then at A.J. His eyes lingered, noticing the skinny jeans he wore, and the form fitting shirt. It was a big difference that what he usually saw A.J. in. Don't stare, he thought to himself and tried to focus on the question he'd been asked, focusing his gaze back on Laura. ”Anything but olives,” he told her. He listened as Laura talked, letting his eyes flicker to A.J. once more. It was obvious the younger male was not comfortable in the clothes he was wearing. Chris almost felt bad for him... oh who the hell was he kidding? No, he didn't. Chris smirked. A.J. looked good in those clothes. Attractive even. Now that Chris could actually see the size of the other man's body, something that was practically impossible in the baggy jeans and sweatshirts he usually wore. Shit! He was staring again. Chris cleared his throat, and walked to the fridge. He could really use something to drink right now. Grabbing a water bottle, he closed the door, and looked back over at them. Chris opened the water and took a drink, before asking, ”What movies did you guys get?”outfit

Did he have to do that? But, he was well, and self-trained in the art of subtly watching someone. So, he could not help but look every so often. Laura honestly just wanted to knock them both upside the head because she found that they were both so obvious, to everyone but each other. She knew there was a slight tension that was not there before and it made her wonder if maybe Chris had found out that A.J. had always had a big crush on him. It did seem like something that would cause a tension there. After all, if it had been reversed, Laura had no doubts that A.J. would have reacted quite positively to that information. Chris, on the other hand; well, she was not exactly sure about that. "Stop tugging on the shirt, Red," Laura insisted as she walked over to grab the phone, pointing it at A.J. "You'll stretch out the material. What d'you think of the new look, Chris?" As she asked the question to her brother, she went over to find the number to the pizza place that they used, which was taped to the fridge next to A.J.'s dad's number. "Right, so two large with everything and extra olives." Laura nodded with a smirk, moving farther toward the door to get away from the other two in order to place their pizza delivery without any intention to make either pizza have olives because that was gross.
"Stretching it out is the point," A.J. mumbled after Laura was out of earshot before reaching up to ruffle his hair, walking over to where the movies were abandoned. "Uh, we got a couple horror movies, a couple comedies, and a couple mindless action flicks. We figured we'd just choose between them here." A.J. shrugged a little, swearing under his breath as the action made the shirt rise up too far to be comfortable before tugging it down as he sat down on the couch next to the dog. "You're lucky that you don't have to go through Laura Makeovers," he told the dog, whose name he honestly could not remember at that moment before he looked back over to Chris with a smile. "So, d'you have fun finally getting the apartment to yourself for a bit?"
Laura returned a few moments later, hanging up the phone. "Alright, it'll be a half-hour to forty-five minutes before the pizzas are here," she announced as she hung up the phone. "We can either start one of the movies now and be interrupted or just chill until then."
A.J. shrugged a little in response, insisting that either one sounded good to him. "But, I am hijacking your coffee pot to make some," he insisted with a grin before he got up to go into the kitchen to do just that, lifting his glasses up to rest on the top of his head as he did. He really hated those damn things, but his eyesight was growing worse (due to too much reading in less than ideal locations) and he would probably have to upgrade to actual glasses instead of just readers. That or he could get contacts. But, he was likely to take an eye out dealing with contacts. So, maybe that was not the best idea.
"Chris, opinion?" Laura prompted as A.J. hummed faintly under his breath while continuing to work on the coffee. She went over to the couch to actually take the movies out of the sack and place them on the coffee table, and then went back to grab Spike and move him off the couch. "Pick a different spot, little buddy." She smiled a bit as the dog walked off toward her bedroom before looking back to her brother with a smile.
"How much am I making?" A.J. questioned over his shoulder, needing to know how many of them were going to have some so he could make the right amount. Otherwise, it would not be enough or it would go stale. Laura insisted on having some, and A.J. nodded, waiting for Chris' answer before making the appropriate amount of the caffeine drink for everyone's liking.

Chris listened, watching Laura reprimand A.J. with a slight smirk on his face He took another drink of his water, trying to not stare at A.J. ”Um. It's fine,” he said trying to act like it was not a big deal Really it wasn't a big deal, it was just different. And if he were being honest, a bit shocking. He hadn't really thought Laura would manage to get him in to jeans that were so tight, but then again it was Laura. Shit! He was staring look anywhere but A.J. And stop thing about his jeans, or things were going to get very awkward. He'd been so caught up in his own thoughts, he'd missed anything Laura might have said after he commented on A.J. clothes. As A.J. talked about the movies, Chris tried to act interested, in the movies that is. But, really, he could care less what they got. That's not what had his attention. Watching as the shirt started to rise. Okay the clothes were nice, but they made concentrating so much harder. An hour and however many minutes was going to be way too long. Think about puppies, he told himself, something that would take his mind off the man who was messing with his body. Easier said than done when the man in question was in the same room as him, and talking to him. In those tight clothes. ”Not this time, anyway. I've had them before,”he said, shrugging his shoulders. He was sure they would be in his future again, it was only a matter of time. ”It was fine. I played some video games, read some sports magazines, worked out,” he said picking absently at the wrapper on the water bottle as he talked. He shrugged when Laura came in. It didn't really matter to him. Chris was somewhat relieved when A.J. left the room to make the coffee. But that didn't last long as Laura spoke to him. He tried to shift himself discreetly as Laura was busy with the DVD's and the dog, but nothing was comfortable. It was going to be a long night. He joined her on the couch, and yelled to A.J. that he wanted some coffee as well. ”I said they’re fine. They’re fine,” he stated. He paused and looked at her. What are you up too, Laura?” he asked raising a brow. His sister was the Queen of schemes and plans, and he got the feeling something was up. ”There was something I was going to tell you. Something A.J. called me out on the other day. I guess now's a good of time as any,” he said pausing for a minute. How would she take it? He didn't think she would care, but he was still nervous. He took a drink of his water before he continued, ”I like guys... I'm bisexual, “ he told her. It felt weird to say it out loud.

A.J. was not effected by Chris' lack of a response. He had not really expected one in the first place. It was Chris, and he was not the type to really care about Laura's fashion choices. He was still firm in his belief that Chris only thought of him in a friendly manner, and it never crossed his mind that maybe there could be more than a typical, slightly apathetic, Chris response. A.J.'s brow lifted, though when Chris said something about having gone through one of Laura's makeovers before and he laughed with a smile. "As amusing as that would have been to see, I was actually talking to the dog. Might have to see if Laura has pictures, now," he stated, nodding a little. He was sure that Laura would not let an opportunity like that pass by without taking a lot of photos. He laughed softly with another smile as Chris answered nonchalantly about the day. "If sports magazines are your thing, sounds like fun. Better than being dragged around all afternoon, and threatened with eyeliner." He narrowed his eyes a little over at Laura, who just smiled sweetly in response.
As A.J. tinkered away in the kitchen, obviously distracted by something in there, Laura raised an eyebrow and smirked at her brother's short response of "it's fine". Well, that had nothing to do with her question. "I'm aware that you think his new clothes are 'just fine', but maybe if you weren't trying so hard not to stare, you would realize I was asking about the movies," she stated, keeping her voice low enough that A.J. would not overhear her. "I'm not up to anything." Lie. But, surely her dear brother would already have figured it out by then. Did she need to spell it out? However, a moment later, her smirk changed into a genuine, soft smile as she reached over to gently squeeze her brother's shoulder. She knew it took a lot for him to admit that, even if she had already been aware. Saying the words like that were never easy, especially not in their hetero-normative culture. "Thank you for telling me. I'm glad that you did. Doesn't really matter to me, though. You're still my annoying, kid brother." She smiled and reached up to ruffle his hair in a way that she knew would annoy him. "A.J. called you out on it, huh? How'd that come about? He doesn't usually just bring up things like that." She knew A.J. just about as well as Chris did, and they both knew that A.J. was not the type of person to just accuse someone of something like that. It wasn't in his nature. A.J. did not like confrontation. She bit her lower lip lightly and tipped her head to one side, studying A.J. for a moment before looking back to Chris. There was no doubt that the two of them obviously still had some things to talk about. "If you want some time alone with him, just say the word and I can be gone." She nodded resolutely with a slight smirk as she brushed her hair back out of her eyes.
It was at that moment that A.J. returned from the kitchen with a thing of coffee in his hand from the barely half-finished pot (something he was known to do because he was too impatient for it to finish making the entire contents). "So, did we decide on a movie?" he asked, completely oblivious to the conversation that the siblings had been having mere moments before. He was not sure what was going on, but something told him that he had missed something. "Did I miss something?" His brow furrowed a little as he watched them, taking another drink of his coffee.

Great. Just great. He'd gone and reveled something when A.J. had been talking to the dog He frowned, looking at A.J. and saying a firm, ”No.” Not that he really expected A.J. to listen, he didn't, but he still had to try. Chris knew Laura would have pictures hidden somewhere, and he did not need or want A.J. to see them. If he could get his hands on the damn pictures, he would burn them. What was this?! Fuck with Chris night? Because he was horny, and so not in the mood, he thought to himself as Laura said she'd been talking about the movies, not A.J. Wait, what?? Shit. He stared at Laura for a second. ”You know, the words coming out more as a statement than a question. Of course she knew, it was Laura, he should have known better than to think that he was actually fooling her. Nothing seemed to get by her, and while it at times irritated him to no end, he loved her for it. The question was how long had she known. Yeah, she wasn't up to anything all right. Chris rolled his eyes at that. Why was this night starting to feel more like a set up to get him and A.J. together? Or an intervention. He relaxed some as Laura squeezed his shoulder, and reassured him that she was cool with it. That she wasn't going to disown him or anything. Things would go on like normal. He scoffed as she messed with his hair, reaching up with his own hands, and running his fingers through it, trying to fix it. Chris nodded to her first question, expecting the second to follow. Both of them knew A.J. well enough to know that wasn't like him. But Chris did not feel like saying: I stripped in his living room, he blurted it out, after he admitted he liked me, and I did not tell him I felt the same way. It's a long story, I'll tell you later,” he said as he picked at his water bottle, getting the rest of the wrapper off. Hopefully, later would not come. Something told him he'd get an earful from Laura if she kne how that day had gone. When she made the comment about leaving so he and A.J. could have some time alone, he wanted to give her a smart ass answer back, but nothing came. It was not a bad idea. He loved her, he really did but he knew he would feel much more comfortable talking to A.J. if he didn't feel like his older sister was listening in. Intentional or not, the walls of the apartment were only so think. ”Yeah,” he told her as A.J. came into the room, and Chris found himself trying not to stare again. He got up, setting the water bottle on the table, and crumpling the wrapper in his hand. Looking between the two he said, ”Laura's got somewhere to be,” he said looking pointedly at her as he did. ”Guess that means more coffee for us,” he said then walked into the kitchen. Chris tossed out the wrapper, and grabbed himself a coffee cup, before making his way out to the living room again.

"You know." Laura nodded a little as she laughed with a soft smile. Of course she knew. She was the one on the outside, the one who had watched A.J. follow after her brother everywhere, and the one who had watched when Chris realized that A.J. was not six years old anymore. "Chris, A.J.'s never been all that subtle, and to me? Neither have you," she stated as she lifted her shoulders in a shrug. It was not anything that bothered her in the slightest. The two most important people to her made each other happy. Why should she want anything less than for them to finally talk and get everything out in the open. A.J. had waited years for her brother, and there was no guarantee that he would continue to wait for long. She did not want him to miss out on something that could be great simply because he was scared. She nodded a little when Chris replied to her suggestion as A.J. returned to the room. "I forgot that I promised to meet up with Hayden tonight. I'm late now, because you distracted me." She flicked A.J.'s nose and laughed softly with a smile as he scrunched his face up in response. "Save some pizza for me." She hugged A.J. and squeezed Chris's arm lightly with a reassuring smile to her brother before grabbing her jacket and heading back out of the apartment, calling Hayden once she got to her car so that she could ask him if he wanted to meet up somewhere.
"Alright, then," A.J. said with a laugh and a shake of his head after Laura left the apartment. If he was not used to Laura's whirlwind antics, he would have thought that it was odd of her just leaving like that. However, he was used to that sort of behavior from the elder Evans sibling. Taking advantage of the fact that Laura was no longer in the apartment, A.J. set aside his coffee for a moment and went over to where his hoodie had been placed so that he could tug it back on and zip it up, feeling a bit more comfortable having another layer on. "It may or may not be a good thing there'll be more coffee now. I already had a venti at the mall. It was really good. Raspberry and caramel or something like that." A.J. felt just slightly nervous being alone with Chris again, but he was trying to not show it. He and Chris had smoothed things out since his mess up the last time they had been at his place; but, A.J. just felt weird knowing that Chris knew the thoughts he had spent a long time hiding and denying. He picked up his coffee again, both hands wrapping around the warm mug, finding a bit of comfort in that. "So, you decide on a movie yet or am I gonna have to do it?" He questioned as he set the coffee aside again to grab the empty plastic bag off the coffee table and clean it off a bit so that they could have a place to put the pizza when it got there. Plus, it gave him something to do with his hands beyond holding that silly mug. He was starting to feel that antsy feeling again and he didn't like it. Keeping busy was the best way to deal with that, he found. Well, it kept him from focusing on any one thing for more than a moment, anyway. "Oh! Hey, did you know that the psych teacher is a published author? It's pretty cool. Stark, er, Doctor Reid, gave me a card to the publishing house he goes through, specifically the illustration department. He thinks I should send them a portfolio." A.J. was not completely sure why he was bringing up that bit of information. It was mostly to fill the silence, and because, well, he talked a lot. He also knew Chris was not likely to say too much, so one of them might as well.

Chris nodded as Laura squeezed his shoulder, and left. Well, he could not back out now. Not that he'd been planning too, but if she came home and found out Chris had not told A.J. how he felt that his sister would probably kill him. Or at least the thought would be there. And Laura was not someone to make mad, especially when it was about her family. Chris knew to Laura A.J. was like family. He went and filled his cup full of coffee, smiling slightly at the fact that as soon as the elder Evans sibling was out the door, A.J. put on his sweatshirt. Taking a sip of his coffee, Chris fought the urge to roll his eyes at Ashley as the younger man rambled on about coffee. He guessed it was probably slightly nervous about being alone with him. They had worked things out, but A.J thought his feelings were one sided. If he only knew, Chris thought. Soon, he would. ”I don't feel like watching a movie,” he said looking at A.J. It was the truth, watching any movie was not high on his to do list tonight. He stood, watching A.J. clean up the table not offering to help. Drinking some more of his coffee, he did let his eyes roll at the sight before him. He shook his head no, as A.J. talked about one of the teachers. The name did not sound very familiar to Chris, but maybe he just was not putting the name to a face. ”A.J., stop,” he forcefully said, not bothering to try to hide the irritation in his voice. Partly, because A.J.'s fidgeting, was getting on his nerves, making him feel nervous even, And partly because he was still sexually frustrated, still slightly hard under his sweats, which was also getting on his nerves. Why was this so hard? He'd told women before whom he had not known how they had felt about him beforehand. He knew A.J. liked him, there was no wondering, so shouldn't this be easier? That had been made clear in A.J.'s apartment. Chris stepped closer to A.J. until he was standing in front of him. ”I need to tell you some thing,” he said, his face and voice serious, as he looked in to A.J.'s eyes. Yes, he was glad that Laura had offered, and left so easily. He'd have to tank her later. Chris would do the same thing if she asked. There were just times one did not want a sibling around, and this was one of them. Thinking his sister could hear him even if she had left the room would have made him much more nervous. Maybe it was because he had never felt this way about anyone else before. Never cared for them as he did the man he was currently standing in front. Never had been so emotionally invested before. Well, here goes nothing, or everything really. Taking a deep breath through his nose he continued ”I like you,” he stated, and watched A.J.'s face for a reaction.

i wish i had some way to say You're going through so much. [/style][style= width: 402px; height: 200px; background: url(http://i49.tinypic.com/etfsc8.jpg);] [/style][style= width:402px; height: 390px; background-color: #ffffff;] [style=width: 300px; font-family: arial narrow; font-size:10px; line-height:91%; text-align:justify; overflow: auto; margin-bottom: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; height: 320px; padding-top: 5px; margin-right: 5px;margin-top: 10px; color: #000000; background-color: #fff;]A.J. laughed softly when Chris said that he did not want to watch the movie. "Well, it's just a suggestion for the night. Laura's idea, really. But, now she's off with what's-his-face..." A.J. stated with a smile. He really should try to remember the guy's name. He didn't think that he'd ever met the guy but if Laura liked him, that was good enough for him. Laura being happy was always a good thing. He stopped messing with the items on the table when Chris told him to stop, but grabbed the coffee mug instead. A.J. never just stopped moving when he felt the need to fidget around like that. Not even his dad had been able to accomplish getting him to sit still and speak to him just by using words. He still had to physically take a hold of A.J.'s wrists and stop him from moving because nothing less could break through that compulsion. He absentmindedly tapped his thumb against the back of the coffee mug, shifting his weight to the other foot slightly as he looked to Chris, studying him for a moment. Chris seemed tense about something, but A.J. was not sure what. Maybe it would just be best to leave Chris alone for the evening. He seemed kind of annoyed with A.J., but the younger man was not exactly sure why. He hadn't done anything that he wouldn't do on a normal basis. He took a drink of his coffee as Chris moved to stand in front of him and raised a brow in silent question. He was not sure what was going on, but somehow, he remained silent until Chris stated that he wanted to tell him something. A.J. nodded a little, absently wetting his lips while shifting the coffee cup in his hands. He realized, after a moment, that his glasses were no longer on the top of his head. Had he left them in the kitchen? He should probably go look; but, he wouldn't go do that until Chris said what he wanted to. A.J. had no idea what the other man could be wanting to say.
At Chris' simple statement, A.J. laughed softly and said, "Well, I should hope so. Don't most people like their friends? It would not quite work otherwise." A.J. had spent enough of his time, convincing himself that Chris would always just see him as that annoying, hyperactive kid that followed him around and nothing more. He did not read into the statement any, and did not think anything of it being more than a platonic statement. Anything else just would not fit into what A.J. had led himself to believe. "Did I leave my glasses in the kitchen?" he asked as he moved around Chris to head into the other room to check. He was not sure why he felt the sudden need to change the topic and move, but it was definitely his first, knee jerk reaction. Maybe it was because Chris had stepped into his personal space to talk; but, that was not something that ever usually put A.J. on edge, not with his friends. He was the king of no personal space, mostly because he forgot about it. So, he was not sure that was it. However, A.J. was not sure what it could be that had him so on edge beyond what he already knew. The last time they'd been left alone together, he'd made a total ass of himself, so there was the chance of that happening again, and A.J. really did not want for that. He honestly could care less about his glasses, though. Once again, it was just something else to focus on beyond the questions Chris' sudden statement and the weird tightening in his stomach that it brought. That was a problem; and, A.J. fully planned on dealing with it like he did all his other problems. He would just ignore it until it went away. That seemed like the best plan, in A.J.'s opinion. Even, though, he had a slight, nagging voice in his head that sounded suspiciously like Laura telling him to chill, not that it helped any.

”Hayden something,” he replied with irritation. Chris had met the guy, and didn't really care for him. He was happy, peppy, everything Chris was not, and while that alone would annoy Chris, this guy was dating his sister. At least he was pretty sure they were dating anyway. But, he made Laura happy, which Chris did like. So, he would be civil to the man. As civil as Chris got. He could threaten someone with bodily harm and still be civil. Chris could be charming if he wanted too. Like when he'd plastered a nice smile on his face as he told Hayden that if the dumbass hurt Laura in any way, Chris would cause him bodily harm. Lots of it. A small smile flickered across his face at the memory , fading as he refocused on A.J. Chris frowned as A.J. began to laugh. Seriously?! He was laughing?! Chris must have missed something because he did not get what was funny. He huffed and turned his head to the side, annoyance clear in his features. Was he going to have to spell it out for A.J.? Unbelievable. He'd told the younger man that he liked him, and it was not getting through his skull that Chris meant it in a much more than platonic way. He knew he sucked at talking, conveying his feelings to others. It wasn't something that came easily to him. But did he suck that bad that A.J. could not see it?The TV caught Chris attention for a second as A.J. talked about his glasses. Why the fuck dd Ashley need his glasses? Chris knew he didn’t. They weren't doing anything where the younger man needed them. Fuck it. He was going to need to make it clear to A.J what he had meant. And Chris was not going to use words. Maybe then it would get through to A.J. He set down his coffee cup, with much more force than he needed too, spilling some on the table, but Chris payed no attention to it . He stalked after Ashley, moving quietly, quickly, as he approached. Reaching out with one hand when he was close enough, he grabbed Ashley's arm, and spun him around, before grabbing the sweatshirt with his left hand and shoving the smaller male back into the wall. Without a seconds hesitation, his right hand moved to grab A.J.'s shoulder, and he stepped in, using his body to pin A.J. to the wall. He let his tongue roll over his lips wetting them lightly, then leaned in. His bare chest feeling the fabric of A.J.'s sweatshirt brushing up against it. Wondering if A.J. knew how hard he made him, if he could feel it through their clothes, and he had not even done anything yet. Chris tilted his head and pressed his lips to A.J.'s. It was far from a gentle kiss. It was firm, demanding, controlling. Chris was not one who tended to kiss softly anyway, but especially now. With how he felt, he didn't have the patience for it. He'd been wanting to do it for so long. And maybe this would get his point across to the man he was crushing his lips to. If it didn't Chris would be highly tempted to smack him.

"Holy god," he breathed in complete surprise. It was not the first time he had gotten shoved into a wall, but usually he knew what his offense had been before hand. He was not sure what he had done to make Chris angry. He'd just been himself. There was nothing to be upset over. Right? Of course, A.J.'s train of thought came to a screeching halt when, before he could recover enough to actually say anything, Chris was suddenly leaning in to kiss him. A.J. stiffened a little in surprise, but did not move to push Chris away any. He slowly fell into the kiss, relying more on instinct since his mind had yet to full catch on to what was going on. It was not a tentative or slow kiss, and Chris was very completely controlling it. Ashley could not find an ability to not let that happen as he rested a hand on Chris' shoulder. A.J. felt completely confused, and a little dizzy. He wanted actual answers, but seemed to be unable to break the kiss enough to get them. His fingers pressed firmly into the skin beneath them in a grip that would probably be bruising if Chris' skin was any lighter. The kiss was better than anything he could have imagined, despite the intense feeling of confusion tied in with it. So, Chris liked him...? Since when? It didn't make sense at all to A.J. He broke the kiss with a soft gasp as his brow furrowed and he looked to Chris, completely open in the fact that he was extremely confused just by the expression on his face. "Wait... I-I don't... Shit, I really... really need you to use your words right now." He had no doubts that Chris was probably going to be annoyed that he was speaking again, but he needed to know, to understand just what was going on.
"I mean, you... But... Since when?" A.J. absentmindedly wt his lips and shook his head a little, trying to piece everything together. It just did not add up in his mind. He was just the scrawny kid, and Chris was... well, Chris. "Why didn't you say something before?" He absently tightened his grip on Chris' shoulder a little before relaxing it once again. He was torn between wanting to listen to what Chris had to say and simply wanting to kiss the other man again. Both seemed like great options, but he could not exactly do both at the same time. He was not willing to let Chris pull away from him any, though. "I thought... I mean... I thought everything was one-sided." He nodded a little, worrying at his lower lip for a moment while finding himself watching Chris' lips before looking back up to his eyes. A.J. had no idea what to do with himself. He knew what he wanted to do, but that did not mean that he should. He still wanted to be kissing the other man, but he needed to hear something that would confirm everything, make it seem more... real. Nothing, at that moment, felt anything near being real. It'd been a sense of surrealism since Chris had pinned him against the wall, something A.J. minded a lot less than he thought he would have, especially since it meant Chris was pressing right up against him.
