He had been sent to the school after getting busted at a party with drugs on him. It was the death of one of his closest friends (an OD) that made him decide to straighten out; though, he would always struggle more with his eating disorder and self harm. College was spent mostly just working on getting his degree, though he would hook up with a couple people here and there, and he did make some new friends that helped him through rough times. Getting a job at the school the year before pretty much set him in his work-centric thoughts. He, every once in a while, plays an open mic night with his band, but rarely stays out past that, preferring to go home and get more work done. He is someone who makes and keeps friends rather easily (as long as they don't mind him randomly disappearing for a while due to self-induced seclusion to his home to work on music). He's bound to have enemies, being a teacher as well as being openly bisexual. On the romance front, he's pretty much good. Maybe someone could have been a past fling, but nobody that is a student.

(don't ever call him Ashley, or there will be pain... figuratively) spends a lot of his time at St. Helena's where he is working on his student teaching while also interning under one of the therapists on campus. The young man is still not exactly sure what he wants to do with his life, but he figures any experiences in a professional setting he can get will look good on a resume. Plus, if he could even inadvertently help one of the students stuck at St. Helena's, he would feel ten times better about himself. He makes friends fairly easily, and tends to trust people too easily. Talkative and always full of energy, he is not one to really show when he's feeling negative emotions. He'd rather keep it a secret. A.J. has not had many relationships, and he has yet to actually lose his virginity, but that's fine with him. He's realized that he is demisexual, and emotions are very important for him to even be physically attracted to someone. She is not one to ever let on about the fact that she deals with depression and takes anti-depressants. She tries to hide the fact that she used to self harm (and has relapsed quite a few times even after coming to St. Helena's), nor does she let it be known too easily that she was at the school because of an eating disorder that she still struggles with. It is her third, and final, year at St. Helena's, but Arwen is not quite sure she is ready to face the world just yet. To her, the school is a safe haven. She is not the only one there with issues and she feels more at home there than she ever did at her actual home. She's friendly, but does not really open up to people to easily. Most people see the facade that she has worked hard on perfecting. However, there are a few friends that will have worked their way behind her mask. She has not had too many relationships, mostly because she does not believe she is worth anyone's time. There are girls much prettier than her, after all. She grew up in an abusive household after her brother was killed in action, and ever since she finally had enough, she has been in the run. She lived for a long while on the streets, making money where she could; but, it was when she allowed herself to get too close to her hometown that she was caught. After the police tried to take her home and she flipped out on them, it was decided that maybe she should not go home, especially after she finally admitted what her dad had done. Faith was then sent to St. Helena's to have a safe place to stay during the trial and investigation. Maybe her PTS could be dealt with there as well. She does not have too many friends because she never stayed in one place for too long, though she can make friends easily. Enemies are not uncommon, even for someone who lives on the run. She's had a few lovers here and there, but nothing that lasted. Nothing in her life lasted. She needs a bit of everything, though, especially if another runner ends up giving her a reason to stay.

He already has his doctorate by the time he turned twenty-one. Since then, he's been a novelist (both fiction and non-fiction, with a pen-name and his own, respectfully), a guest lecturer, a teacher at universities, and a consultant for the FBI. Until getting the job at St. Helena's, he had not lived in the same place for very long in years. He's not the type of person to have too many personal attachments for that reason and the fact that he is quite socially awkward. He has a hard time trusting people, but once he does, it's rather fully and whole-heartedly. He's physically distant and doesn't often initiate contact, but he likes to have contact with those people who mean the most to him. He's never really had any romantic relationships, nor has he had much experience. That was always difficult when he went to school with people older than him, and those his age tended to resent him for leaving high school early. However, he remains happy, though unattached. He does have enemies, though Reid would try his hardest to not focus on them too much. There are more important things, after all. He's a teacher and a counselor at the school, and his greatest goal is to be able to help at least one person. Just one is enough, though it would not mean he would quit once he had done so.

He keeps them at arms length, and while he might not be shy about telling people why he is at St. Helena's if they ask, he does not tell him exactly what led him to his actions. It really just depends on the person he's with and how he's feeling. Tyler has hardly any self-confidence and does not think very highly of himself at all.
