He keeps them at arms length, and while he might not be shy about telling people why he is at St. Helena's if they ask, he does not tell him exactly what led him to his actions. He talks to no one, not even his closest friend (his younger brother) about the car accident that changed everything. He can be a sarcastic little shit, or a friendly guy through and through. It really just depends on the person he's with and how he's feeling. Tyler has hardly any self-confidence and does not think very highly of himself at all. His parents never did, so he doesn't and he does not believe that anyone else really can, either. He's more in the state of mind that people are more likely to use him for something or another than to actually care about him. He's going to need some enemies, of course; but, he'll also need some people that he keeps around just to keep himself distracted without really thinking of them as friends. He'll also need some people he actually views as friends, but still keeps at arms length; but, there could be one or two people he actually gets really close to.
