History:
Skylar was raised mostly by his mother as he was only three years old when his parents got divorced. It was his mothers third marriage. He, his twin, his mom and the rest of his half siblings moved around a lot. The places they lived we not very well off, in fact they were slums. As his mother married and divorced, men came and went, as did step-siblings. Over the years a few more half siblings were added to the family. Skylar is closest to his twin, Jaysin, but also has a good relationship with Parker and Cissy.
School was something Skylar did well in despite the constant moving, the switching schools, he was able to maintain good grades. Middle school came, and Skylar tried out for the basketball team. He made the team, and played on the team until his mother moved them again. When they moved to Seattle, he did not join a team, but found a group of guys who played hoops at the local park. Skylar easily became friends with them. It was these same guys who introduced him to alcohol. And he became addicted.
At first, drinking for him was just a social thing. Something he did occasionally, to fit in with the guys, As the year went on, however, it got much more severe. After Sin got sent away to St. Helena's, Sky spiraled out of control. Skylar figures it is because Sin helped him stay in check. His twin, despite how he treated everyone else, really looked after him. He would make sure Skylar did not overdo it, as well as help him deal with his hangover the next day. They stayed in contact, but it was not the same.
Skylar found himself enrolled in St.Helena's his Sophomore year after he got caught driving drunk multiple times. Maybe it's better this way, because they can look out for each other.
