outfit is here. ohai. i dunno. wanted a sin post. School was done and over with for the day, and Jaysin could not be more glad. He hated listening to the droning of his idiot teachers and his even more stupid classmates. The teen frowned at the thought as he tightened the strings on his shoes. Everything he had that day looked new, and expensive; but, Sin had got them all second hand and very cheap. Thankfully, they were still in great condition. He just had the seller scared to the point of agreeing to his terms on a sale. That was the way he liked it. Intimidation was the best way to get what you wanted from someone. It was a trick that Jaysin had learned early in life. Step-father number what-the-fuck-ever was good about trying to intimidate him. Jaysin, even as a child, was never afraid of anyone; especially not some middle aged man with no job, and no future. Sin was better than that jerk, and he did not even have to try. Jaysin rolled his eyes at his own thoughts before focusing on what he was there to do. Jaysin was taking advantage of the empty gym to go through his daily routine of pushups, pullups, and situps, as well as running a few laps around the gym. By the time he was done with that, he ditched his shirt and grabbed his armband to put his iPod on his arm so that he could play music to fill the silence. It never bothered him when he was running because he liked to count his heartbeats as he did; and, when he was doing the rest, he was too busy counting to let himself get distracted by music. At that point, though, he was just going to take one of the basketballs there in the gym and get some practice in. He had skipped practice immediately after classes, anyway. Of course, that had not been his fault. He had been scheduled to go see what's-his-face that was his counselor. Or was a she? Jaysin did not care enough to remember. At that moment, teh only thing that mattered was himself and the ball. "Gym's closed," Jay said with an irritated scowl after hearing someone come in one of the many doors that led into the gym. It was not really closed, as it would still be unlocked as long as the academic building itself was open. However, Jaysin did not share well, and he really did not want anyone intruding on his time there in the gym.
Scowling deeper, Jaysin quickly turned to where the person was, throwing the basketball in his hands in their direction as hard as he could. "Did you not hear me? Gym. Is. Closed." Sin did not want to deal with some stupid little teenager, and he had very little patience period. His mood was sour, though not as bad as it could be. His day had just been off and he was ready for it to be over. The sooner it was over, the sooner he could move on and forget about the day that amounted to nothing. "Get out." He reiterated himself, in case the basketball throwing thing had not been a clear image. Jaysin was not very friendly; nor did he care if the person he had lobbed the basketball at told one of the staff or was a member of the staff. He just did not care. Their authority meant very little to him unless they could do something for him. Then, their worth would rise exponentially. Of course, anyone who could do something for him would, for a limited time, be someone of worth.

WHY did it always have to rain at the most inconvenient moments? Tori had planned to go hiking after her long, stress filled day of school and unhelpful counseling, but had to cancel because of the sudden downpour. Not even she was daft enough to try hiking while it poured. The mud was a broken leg waiting to happen. She wouldn't even risk it with a partner, let alone by herself. It wasn't all that uncommon for people to injure themselves and get stuck up on the trails. It was one of the most common causes of death, even in good weather. No, it wasn't worth the risk. Not today, anyways.
IT. wasn't that Tori was afraid of taking risks. On the contrary, she loved to. Stupidity, as some of her old friends might say, was her forte. She remembered the time she had climbed the Stairway To Heaven by herself in Hawaii, just before St. Helena's. Or the time when she brought home a Horned Toad and attempted to make a pet out of it. Unfortunately, it got loose and she wasn't able to find it until her mum looked inside her purse and screamed. It was then that Tori learned the creatures shot blood from their eyes when threatened. Thankfully, that one had a rather happy ending. Her mother, to prevent similar incidents, bought her a sweet little Cuban Tree Frog when they moved. She still had it, it awaited her return at her parents' house in Hawaii.
UNFORTUNATELY, Tori didn't know if she would ever see her little amphibian friend again. She had made little progress since arriving at the 'special school' and her father refused to allow her to return until she was no longer a threat to the rest of the family. No one had listened to her when she told them that it was really not her fault. Sure, she had the tendency to get a little violent when angry, but it took a lot of prodding to get to that stage. If people just wouldn't provoke her, she would be utterly fine. Outbursts, such as the one which landed her here, almost always happened because whoever was taunting her didn't give her enough time to cool down. She was pretty good at cooling herself down.
SHE found days like today the hardest. She had no way to release her pent up frustration. The rain prevented her from tearing up the trails and music just wasn't working as she could find nothing to suit her mood. She had tried that journal thing her counselor had suggested too many time to count and that didn't work either. The gym was her last resort. She figured that a few laps around the court would calm her down a bit. She could stream jungle noises through her headphones and close her eyes and try and imagine that she was back in Hawaii.
JUST the walk from her dorm to the gym made her feel a bit better. The sound of her feet slapping against the ground and her breath entering and exiting her lungs was soothing. She could hear the rain patter softly against the building. Despite the fact that it was the reason she was having to search for another stress reliever, she enjoyed it too. It brought back pleasant memories of time before her and her sister started fighting. She could remember them dancing in the downpour together in Morocco, during one of their family holidays. She smiled sadly, wishing for those days again.
THE gym wasn't as re;axing as she had hoped for. The moment she opened the door, someone started yelling at her that it was closed, despite the fact that it was obviously not closed. Stubbornness and pride demanded she continue, so she did. Of course, that earned her a basketball to the face. Probably not the best move the other gym user could have made. Tori's declining temper flared and she threw the ball back, fighting the temptation to march over there and punch whoever it was in the face.
INSTEAD, she gave the offender a hennaed middle finger and her fiercest glare"The gym isn't closed, ass-hole, or it'd be locked. If you have a problem with my being here, go find somewhere else. I ain't leaving."

outfit is here. ick. sorry about the bad word count. Jaysin was not someone who had enough morals to stop himself from hitting a girl, especially not a girl who pissed him off. He grunted as she threw the ball back and it caught him in the stomach, but he grabbed it before it fell and he cocked a brow at her, especially when she gave him the finger and responded. "The gym isn't closed, ass-hole, or it'd be locked. If you have a problem with my being here, go find somewhere else. I ain't leaving." Jaysin clenched his teeth at her word choice, almost flinching visibly. Did she have to sound like one of the stupid crack heads that he dealt with for most of his life. "Ain't" was one of the few words that honestly just irritated him to no end. Did the people who said it realized how monumentally low it made their IQ seem? Jaysin himself would not consider himself to be one of the brightest people; but, at least he had enough sense to not sound like a fool. Jaysin dropped the ball aside, letting it roll away before crossing his arms over his chest, taking out one of his earphones at the same time so she was not so muffled. "Did you seriously think that sounding like an idiot was going to sway me to leave the spot that I was at first, little girl?" Jaysin did not care if the girl actually was older than him. He was still bigger than her, and stronger than her, angry or not. "Or did you think your lack of size was going to be in any way intimidating?" Sin's brow rose faintly as he spoke, wondering just where the girl got the nerve to stand up to someone that could easily flatten her. Then again, maybe she did believe he would not touch her because she was a girl. She would be sorely mistaken if she pushed him too far. As it was, he was in a decent mood, as he usually was after working out. That did not mean he wanted to take the time to be social; especially not with some skinny little brat who looked like she never set foot into a gym on a normal basis. "What are you even doing in the gym? Shouldn't you be hiding away in the library or something?" She looked to Jaysin like the kind of girl who would spend most of her time in the library or on the computer. A nerd, basically, is what he was assuming she was. The basketball coach probably would not be too happy if he got into a fight with someone on the newly waxed gym floor; but, honestly, Sin did not care about that. He had no respect for the man, or anyone for that matter, save for Skylar. His twin was another story all together, and was one of the few people that Jaysin actually cared something for. He was not sure why, and sometimes, it only angered him; but, it was what it was. Everyone had a weak point, he guessed; he just happened to be born with his.

Tori's size, or lack there of, had always been a sore spot. Though she was the oldest child in her family, she was the shortest. Her oldest of her younger siblings had always been fond of reminder her about her lack of height. Of course, just because she was short didn't mean she could pack a mean punch, and she reminded her of that. The stupid bitch had had a black eye for the longest eye, ruining her otherwise perfect complexion. She had to bite her tongue to keep from loosing it one the boy. She also reminded herself that this wasn't her sister and he could probably take her down easily. The girl wouldn't put it past anyone here at the school, even if she was a girl.
His idiot comment stung also, but not so much. She knew her the effect odd speech habits tended to have. At least she had broken the habit of saying 'yeah' at the end of every sentence and adding an 'S' to the end of 'mine'. Well, sort of. She still slipped into the easy island patterns if she didn't think. Unfortunately, having grown up with a mother and father who were born in the south had taken an irreversible toll. At least she wasn't as bad as they were. One reason to be thankful of being a military brat, she guessed. Had her dad not joined the navy, she might have had a Texas accent. She wasn't all to keen of their way of speaking, at least not on girls. It was okay on guys, most of the time.
Tori looked down at her clunky hiking boots and scruffy outdoor clothing. Other than the bulky glasses which clung to her nose, she didn't think she looked much like a library rat. And he called her stupid! It all came back to the lack of size, she guessed. Why did she have to be the only one in her family to inherit the 'short gene'. Her mum often told her that she was not short but average, Tori, however, refused to believe that. At 5'5, she seemed to have to look up at EVERYONE. It bothered her to no extent. Still, she tried not to let it show. At least her sister had taught her one thing. If you didn't show people it bothered you, they let you alone, most of the time.
"Firstly, do these look like library clothes to you? I know you're a guy and all but, really? Even the likes of you should be able to tell hiking clothes from study clothes. Secondly, what would an 'idiot' be doing in the library?" Tori put finger quotes around the word idiot and added a exasperated eye roll. "You don't sound any smarter than I do if you contradict yourself like that. Finally, I told you I'm not leaving and trying to make yourself sound all 'bad ass' isn't going to change my mind. If my presence really bothers you that much, go find somewhere else to throw things." She huffed and rolled her eyes once more before pulling her iPod from her pocket and plugging into it. As she scrolled through the menu, she looked up over the screen to see what whoever-it-was had decided to do.

outfit is here. jaysin is not very happy XD His brow lifted as the girl started to speak once more. Did she not realize how continually ignorant she made herself sound? Rolling his eyes, Jaysin shook his head a little. She had a big mouth for someone that could easily be broken in half. It was going to get her in serious trouble one day, if not by Sin himself, by someone worse. An amused smirk tugged on his lips at that thought. Maybe she would be more amusing all bruised up. "First of all, genius, I said you sounded like an idiot," Jaysin explained with a bored tone, taking a few steps closer to the girl. He scowled as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Even smart people can sound stupid from time to time, especially with their ridiculous word choices." Surely Miss Attitude was smart enough to realize that what you sounded like did not actually indicate the actual level of intelligence. Or maybe she really was just as stupid as he had originally thought. It would not surprise him. "And anyone can tell you that just because you may be book smart, hence the library, does not mean that you are not a dumb fuck that needs to learn more about life or when to shut the hell up." Being a nerd did not mean that you could not be an idiot. There was a big difference between being intelligent and being not being an idiot. Intelligence was simply a matter of how much you studied. There were many intelligent people that knew nothing about the best way to handle people. That was a level of smart that some people forgot. "So before you open your mouth again, thinking you're so smart, take a moment to realize that not everything is measured in grades and any idiot can be a library rat." Jaysin had not contradicted himself at all. Miss Thing, there, had simply taken one meaning of his words and tried to make herself sound smart; which, only caused her to sound ignorant once again. "Also, as to what you would wear to a library... I'm not one to judge personal style. For all I know, that could be what you wear on a daily basis. I don't know you, your hobbies, or what you do with your time; nor do I give a flying fuck. Just because you wouldn't wear that to a library, apparently, does not mean that nobody would." He rolled his eyes once again because, really? This girl was simply annoying.
Jaysin scowled as she mentioned not leaving the gym. That was just not going to work for him. He sighed and grabbed her by the back of her neck, fingers pressing firmly into the skin on either side as he shoved her toward the doors without letting go of her neck. "I don't ask nicely, and I don't care what you think you're doing. You're not staying here." He did not care if she struggled or started to fight back, Jaysin's goal was to get her to leave the gym. That obviously was not going to happen soon unless he started to force her. It was not below Jaysin to do that, as was rather obvious. Jaysin's patience was short and he was done dealing with whatever-her-name-was.
